STALKER: Call of Pripyat has been released on the OpenXRay engine version 558

A new version of OpenXRay, number 558, has been released! The release contains general stabilization and fixes to improve compatibility with the game Clear Sky, which bring the engine to an acceptable level of quality. In addition, the release contains many other minor changes that will not be mentioned.

The most important things: the top 4 bugs of the previous release have been fixed, and CN support is almost completely stable.

List of the most noticeable changes compared to the previous release:

Major fixes:

  • Fixed FPS drop when looking at certain areas, such as Skadovsk;
  • Fixed screen blinking after Alt+Tab when starting a new or loading a saved game.

Clear sky:

  • Support for this game has moved from the beta stage to almost completely stable! (Release Candidate);
  • fixed the cut-scene with the bloodsucker and debtors at Agroprom;
  • fixed crash in settings;
  • Fixed incorrect zoom of markers on the map in the PDA;
  • Fixed weak damage to stalkers and mutants;
  • fixed crash β€œheight > 0”;
  • Fixed a problem with incorrect behavior of animated (non-combat) smart covers;
  • Fixed display of artifacts in the scientific detector.

Other changes:

  • in Clear Sky and Shadow of Chernobyl mode, the game window will now have a corresponding title and icon;
  • The OpenGL render will now not be shown in the settings if the necessary GLSL shaders are missing;
  • Fixed compatibility issues with LuaJIT 1.1.x scripts that use the coroutine.cstacksize function;
  • The size of the engine binary files has been significantly reduced after the build system has been redesigned.

Game process:

  • option to automatically unload weapons when picked up.
