Last summer, Zalman showed its new cooling systems for the popular CNPS series, among which was the older model CNPS10X Optima II. Now the manufacturer has finally released a new product, slightly modifying it. The changes are only aesthetic: the radiator received a white plastic casing, which, moreover, is equipped with RGB lighting.

The CNPS10X Optima II cooling system is built on four U-shaped copper heat pipes with a diameter of 6 mm, for which direct contact with the processor cover is expected. They housed a medium-sized aluminum heatsink, in the upper part of which a shroud with backlight is fixed. The dimensions of the cooling system are 132 × 85 × 160 mm, and it weighs 740 g.

A rather unusual 120 mm fan is responsible for blowing the radiator. It is distinguished by the fact that it has two rows of blades: one is of standard length, the other is shortened. Similar solutions can be found in some video cards. As planned, such a fan should provide a more uniform air flow. The CNPS10X Optima II cooler uses a 1500 RPM fan with PWM control and a noise level of 27 dBA. The fan is equipped with a white light.

The Zalman CNPS10X Optima II cooling system is compatible with all current Intel and AMD processor sockets, except for the large Socket TR4. The novelty will go on sale in the near future, but its cost is not specified. Note that the CNPS10X Optima 2011 cooling system preceding the new product is now on sale for about 1500 rubles.
