A launch track for Soyuz-2 carrier rockets has been opened at the Vostochny cosmodrome: this will allow launching manned and cargo spacecraft into the orbit of the International Space Station (ISS).

According to the RIA Novosti online publication, the possibility of launching ships to the ISS from Vostochny has already been confirmed by Roscosmos.
“The route is open for launches of Soyuz-2 carrier rockets into an orbit with an inclination of 51 degrees to the equator, on which the ISS flies. The impact areas numbered 511, 513 and 515 for the separating parts of the missiles are allocated in the Khabarovsk Territory (for the side blocks of the first stage and the nose fairing) and the Sea of Okhotsk (for the second stage),” the publication says.
It should be noted that until now, ships to the ISS have been sent only from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. To ensure the launch of ships to the ISS from Vostochny, it will be necessary to modernize the technical and launch complexes of the cosmodrome.

Recall that the Russian cosmodrome Vostochny is located in the Far East in the Amur Region. To date, four launches have been made from Vostochny. The latter was successfully produced on December 27 last year: the Russian satellites for remote sensing of the Earth "Kanopus-V" No. 5 and "Kanopus-V" No. 6, as well as a number of small devices, were put into orbit.
