Sony Interactive Entertainment and Naughty Dog continue to prepare for the launch of the next major exclusive for the PlayStation 4 platform - The Last of Us Part II (in Russian localization - "The Last of Us: Part II"). In order to stir up interest in the project, which will be released on June 19, the developers presented an extended cinematic commercial.

In it, Ellie, in company with a friend, plays the guitar and sings a soulful song, and in contrast to this warm performance, we are shown the difficulties that the heroine will have to go through in the sequel. She runs through dark corridors from people chasing her, runs into zombies, jumps through broken glass to engage in hand-to-hand combat with a certain man, and finally breaks out to hide behind a rusty car and prepare for a shootout. All this is performed very emotionally and is intended to cause strong feelings.

The events of the second part will unfold five years after Ellie and Joel's first terrible journey through the epidemic-ridden America. They settled in Jackson, a thriving community where they found the stability they desired, albeit with constant threats of attack from the infected and dehumanized survivors. But the violent events that take place at the beginning of the game will destroy this peace - Ellie will again set off on a journey to restore justice in her own way. She will follow the trail for revenge and face the severe physical and emotional consequences of her actions.

By the way, the other day Digital Foundry specialists The Last of Us Part II based on the latest published videos and were very pleased with the level of graphics that the developers managed to achieve. And in a recently released video diary about the great attention to detail in the development of this action adventure.
