The Yuzu emulator can already play the recently released Pokémon Sword and Shield for Nintendo Switch.
You won't be able to fully enjoy the project right now, but the fact that the emulator was actually able to play Pokémon Sword and Shield without any difficulties already says a lot. The version is currently suffering from a lot of bugs, but developer Yuzu intends to fix them as soon as possible.
Pokémon Sword and Shield is a new generation of the main Pokémon series, available for the first time on a home system. Previously, releases were strictly on portable consoles, and stationary devices received branches in the form of fighting games, action games and other genres. Pokémon Sword and Shield is set in a new region called Galar. The game offers much less content than the previous titles, as development for the home console forced Game Freak to invest heavily in the graphics. However, the latter aspect has been criticized by fans: user ratings on Metacritic .
Pokémon Sword and Shield was released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on November 15th.
