The creator of Python, who spent the last six and a half years at Dropbox, is retiring.
For these 6,5 years, Guido worked on Python and developed the Dropbox development culture, which was going through the transition stage from a startup to a large company: he was a mentor, mentoring developers to write clear code and cover it with good tests. He also made a plan to migrate the codebase to python3 and began to implement it.
He also developed mypy, a static Python code analyzer that was originally developed by another Dropbox employee hired by Guido.
In addition, he was an active participant in the movement to attract women to IT.
