Microsoft works on a simplified process for updating Windows 10 components. In addition, the company is preparing significant changes for the Fast Ring program as part of Windows Insider. It is expected that Fast Ring users will receive builds from the RS_PRERELEASE branch. Moreover, the changes in it will not have a release date. Simply put, they will come out when they are ready, but not before.

In turn, Slow Ring will include only those features that will be part of the next major update. As such, Windows 10 20H1 builds will be available in this channel soon, while Windows 10 20H2 unstable builds will be available in Fast Ring. According to rumors, the autumn update is already being tested or will soon arrive on the computers of the participants in the "insider" program.

In addition, the company is actively working on Windows 10X for Surface Neo and other dual-screen PCs. It is assumed that the novelty will be released in the summer, although there is no exact date yet. A version for traditional laptops will be released even later, it is possible that along with the autumn update of the "tens".
