Patent lawsuit against the GNOME Foundation

The GNOME Foundation announced the start of a patent lawsuit. The plaintiff was Rothschild Patent Imaging LLC. The subject of the dispute is patent infringement 9,936,086 in the Shotwell photo manager. The above patent from 2008 describes a technique for wirelessly connecting an image capturing device (phone, webcam) to an image receiving device (PC) and then selectively transmitting images filtered by date, location, and other parameters.
