On the page of the modernized Resident Evil 3 on Steam there was a mention of the Denuvo anti-piracy mechanism, with the help of which they will try to protect the new product from attacks by hackers.

Capcom has not yet commented on the find, but the Japanese publisher has used the services of the Austrian system before: Denuvo was installed in Devil May Cry 5, Resident Evil 2 ΠΈ Resident Evil 7.

Despite the presence of a security mechanism, hackers once gained access to Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 7 within a week after release, and to Devil May Cry 5 in just a few hours (Capcom left the β€œclean” executable file unattended).

At the same time, sooner or later Capcom removes the outdated anti-piracy system from its games. Resident Evil 7 "liberated" in two years upon release, Resident Evil 2 - after 11 months. Devil May Cry 5 remains under the supervision of Denuvo for now.

Austrian protection is believed to negatively impact gaming performance, but check this out not so easy. But in some cases, disabling Denuvo can lead to unambiguous positive results.

Π Π°Π½Π΅Π΅ developers confirmed, that, unlike the original game, the remake of Resident Evil 3 will not have branching plots and the Mercenaries mode - additional scenarios.

The Resident Evil 3 remake will go on sale on April 3 for PC (Steam), PS4 and Xbox One. Minimum system requirements (the recommended ones have not yet been announced) the games are identical to those of the updated Resident Evil 2.
