Development of Shantae and the Seven Sirens is coming to an end, the game will be released next spring

WayForward has announced that action-platformer Shantae and the Seven Sirens will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Apple Arcade in spring 2020. According to the developer, the creation of the game is almost finished, and the remaining time will be spent on finalization.

Formerly known as Shantae 5, Shantae and the Seven Sirens will send dancer Shantae to a tropical island where she and her friends will find other half-genie allies. But they soon learn that even in such a paradise there are problems.

In the new game, Shantae will be able to use never-before-seen dancing abilities and fusion magic to explore a non-linear, interconnected world. It includes several cities, treacherous labyrinths and sneaky bosses. Shantae and the Seven Sirens also features a new collectible card mechanic that will give gamers the ability to increase Shantae's powers to suit their play style.

Shantae and the Seven Sirens is the fifth installment in the Shantae series, which debuted on the Game Boy Color in 2002.
