Kotaku Editor: Skull & Bones has been restarted several times, but the game is still in development

In his latest financial the report Publisher Ubisoft did not mention Skull & Bones - a multiplayer pirate action game, announced at E3 2017. The players became interested in how things are going with the project, so they asked the corresponding question to Kotaku editor Jason Schreier. The journalist often shares insider information that he receives from the developers, therefore he is considered a reliable source. This time he also voiced some new details regarding the fate of the pirate action.

Jason Schreier on his twitter wrote: “[Skull & Bones] have been relaunched many times. The creative director [of the game] left the position in 2018. It will be some time [before the release]." Most likely, Ubisoft cannot form the concept of a pirate action game, so its development has been restarted several times.

Initially, the French publisher planned to release Skull & Bones in the fall of 2018. Then timing deposed for the next financial year, and in May 2019 did it again. And the second time Ubisoft did not indicate the release date. A release date for Skull & Bones has not yet been announced. Initially, the project was supposed to appear on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, however, it may now be being developed with an eye on the next generation of consoles.
