At the beginning of 2018, it became known that the management Quantic Dream accused of mistreating employees. Former employees of the studio called the atmosphere in the office "toxic". According to them, David Cage, the creator, writer and game designer of Quantic Dream, behaves unprofessionally and allows sexist, racist and homophobic statements. Guillaume de Fondomier, another head of Quantic Dream, who allegedly persistently molested colleagues of the opposite sex, was also accused.

In February 2018, the authorities of Paris started an investigation. As part of the meetings, posters with obscene images that adorned the office were considered; dubious procedures for terminating the contract, which could be fraud for earnings; and pressure on employees to work overtime. Quantic Dream risked losing government funding for game development.

In the summer of 2018, Quantic Dream lost several court cases against its former employees. And in May 2019, Solidaires Informatique and the Game Developers Association called upon survivors of sexual harassment in the studio tell them about it. On November 21, 2019, the story was continued. A Paris court found Quantic Dream guilty of violating safety obligations, failing to respond promptly to ongoing harassment and toxic working conditions against its employees, in particular a former IT manager who was one of the plaintiffs. The studio will have to pay €5000 to the former employee, as well as €2000 in legal fees.

But there are more lawsuits to come. The same IT manager filed an appeal against another "humiliating photomontage" that was not reviewed. In turn, Quantic Dream filed charges against him, alleging that the employee stole internal data before leaving the company. The studio also filed a defamation lawsuit against Mediapart and LeMonde magazines, which were the first to publish material about the situation allegedly taking place in Quantic Dream.
