Besides βDark Heart of Skyrimβ for The Elder Scrolls Online, publisher Bethesda Softworks and studio ZeniMax Online also announced that the game will be officially localized into Russian this year.
Director Matt Firor addressed Russian-speaking players in a separate video, saying that the MMORPG version for Windows and macOS will soon be available in Russian. The developers are currently working to ensure that all texts, dialogues and subtitles in the game are translated. Unfortunately, there is no talk of the appearance of full-fledged Russian voice acting (at least for now). But several fonts with Cyrillic support will be added, which will improve the visual part of the game.
There will also be no separate Russian-language servers: you can play on European and American megaservers. When logging into TES Online, all new players will be offered an EU server, but will be able to change it to NA if they wish. All existing characters will remain on their selected servers.
Also, Russian players will receive full support in Russian. TES Online will also have a separate chat tab for the Russian language. In addition, the publisher has previously revised the prices of the game itself for Russia, and is currently considering various possibilities for adaptation and other purchases for the local market.
The launch date for the update with Russian localization has not yet been announced, but after it all future additions will immediately be released with support for the Russian language. In addition, until the console versions are localized, they are simply not very popular in our area.
