Sony has officially announced that new Xperia smartphones will be unveiled next month at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020 mobile industry exhibition.

According to the published press invitation, the presentation will take place on February 24, the first day of MWC 2020. The announcement will be made in Barcelona, Spain.
Sony hasn't specified what new products it plans to unveil. However, observers agree that the event will see the debut of its flagship smartphone, currently known as the Xperia 5 Plus. This device is rumored to feature a 6,6-inch OLED display, a powerful Snapdragon 865 processor, a quad rear camera, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It will likely also support fifth-generation (5G) mobile networks.
