Sony has officially announced that the new Xperia smartphones will be presented next month as part of the mobile industry exhibition Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020.
As stated in the published press invitation, the presentation will take place on February 24, the first day of MWC 2020. The announcement will be made in Barcelona (Spain).
It is not specified what new products Sony is going to show. But observers agree that the event will debut a flagship smartphone, which currently appears under the name Xperia 5 Plus. This device is credited with having a 6,6-inch OLED screen, a powerful Snapdragon 865 processor, a quadruple main camera and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It is likely that support for fifth generation mobile networks (5G) will be implemented.
In addition, a presentation of mid-level Xperia smartphones is expected. One of them could be a device based on the Snapdragon 765G platform, which at the end of last year in the benchmark.
