A third of pre-orders for Cyberpunk 2077 on PC came from GOG.com

Cyberpunk 2077 pre-orders have been opened with announcement release date at E3 2019. The PC version of the game appeared in three stores at once - Steam, Epic Games Store and GOG.com. The latter is owned by CD Projekt itself, and therefore it опубликовала some statistics regarding pre-purchases in their own service.

The company said: “Did you know that every third digital copy of Cyberpunk 2077 on PC is pre-ordered from GOG.com! Thank you for your support - it's incredible." Many users want all the funds from the purchase to go to CD Projekt RED, and therefore choose the company's store. As a reminder, there is a 30% commission on Steam, which declining after the project earns the first $10 million. In the Epic Games Store, developers give the platform owner 12% of each sold copy. The ratio of pre-orders between the above two services cannot be disclosed by CD Projekt RED due to privacy policy.

The popularity of GOG.com as a pre-order site for Cyberpunk 2077 may be due to the set Simply: RED. It went on sale during E3 2019, offering users a low price to purchase all CD Projekt projects, including add-ons. The offer was valid for a limited time and has already ended.

Cyberpunk 2077 will release on April 16, 2020 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
