Valve has added a quick game search system to Dota 2. Developers about it in the blog. Players will be rewarded with special tokens, with which they can speed up matchmaking.
The studio complained that players often choose key roles without any restrictions. According to them, this introduces an imbalance in the matchmaking system due to a lack of users in other roles. It is assumed that the new feature will help balance the composition of the players.
Users will be able to earn tokens for finding a match with all roles selected. The size of the reward will depend on the number of people in the team: with a single selection of a match, four tokens, two of them - two each, three of them - one each. At the same time, users with a selection by all roles are automatically increased the priority of selection of a match.
The mode will also work if the players divide all the game roles among themselves in advance. For example, when playing with two players, one can choose three main roles (carry, mid and hardliner), and the second can choose two support classes.
