Paradox Interactive has revealed the fourth vampire clan in the upcoming action role-playing game Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, Ventrue. This is the ruling class of bloodsuckers.
The representatives of the Ventrue clan truly have the blood of rulers. Previously, it consisted of high priests and aristocrats, but now its ranks include bankers and top managers. This elite society values bloodline and loyalty above all else, while considering itself the architects of the entire vampire world. The Ventrue seek to create their own hierarchy of power, devoid of the oversight of the elders.
At the time of the game, the Camarilla has gained strength, and part of the Ventrue joined the new rulers, while the other preferred independence. This clan keeps up with the times, and considers everyone who stands for the old order an enemy.
Vampires who join the Ventrue will gain access to the disciplines Domination (controls other creatures and their memory) and Fortitude (allows you to last longer in battle):
"Domination"
- Hypnosis - Allows the Ventrue to put the victim into a short hypnotic trance. The subject does not pay attention to what is happening around, does not hear sounds, does not feel touch and even pain.
- Command - Significantly increases the Ventrue's control over the mesmerized victim. The vampire can tell the character to move, remove obstacles, and even attack.
Using the Dominate discipline in front of mortals does not break Masquerade.
"Fortitude"
- Absorb - Allows the vampire to assume a defensive stance for a short time, deflecting all visible attacks and healing wounds with each deflected strike.
- "Personal Armor" - the vampire's skin becomes hard as stone.
The use of this discipline in front of mortals is considered a violation of the Masquerade.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 will be available in the first quarter of 2020 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
