Salaries of specialists in the Russian IT industry increased in the first half of 2019

A recent study by the career portal “My Circle” showed that in the first half of 2019, the income of specialists in the IT industry increased by an average of 10%, reaching 100 rubles in monetary terms. A slight decrease in income was recorded in the marketing area.

The report states that the difference between the salaries of IT specialists in the regions of Russia and the capital is 36%. Employees of IT departments in Moscow receive about 136 rubles after taxes, which indicates an income increase of 000%. In St. Petersburg, industry specialists earn 13 rubles, and in the regions - 110 rubles (an increase of 000% and 75%, respectively).

The report also says that the developer’s income is on average 100 rubles, which indicates an increase of 000% in the reporting period. In the capital, developers receive 5 rubles, in St. Petersburg, specialists in this category earn 140 rubles, and in the regions - 000 rubles.

It is worth saying that there is an increase in the income of specialists working with current programming languages. For example, specialists working with Objective-C receive 150 (+ 000%), Swift can bring about 25 (+ 130%), and Java - 000 rubles (+ 24%). In addition, salaries are also growing in development areas, except for the desktop, where they remain unchanged (about 120 rubles). The income of game developers increased significantly, immediately adding 000% and stopping at around 20 rubles. Software architects can earn about 80 (+ 000%), and the income of mobile software developers is about 25 (+ 100%).

The report states that programmers are paid the most at Kaspersky Lab, Mail.ru Group, Luxoft and Alfa Bank, where they are willing to pay specialists about 150 rubles. In addition, the average income of Ozon developers during the reporting period was 000 rubles per month.

Some income growth is observed in management, where the average salary is 120 rubles (+ 000%). The salaries of analysts increased by 8%, reaching 11 rubles, the income of personnel officers amounted to 100 (+ 000%), and designers - 65 (+ 000%). The income of support specialists has not changed, where the salary is around 7 rubles, administration - 85 rubles, testing - 000 rubles. The income of marketers decreased by 1,3%, amounting to approximately 50 rubles per month. Freelancers working in the IT industry earn an average of 000 rubles (+ 70%).

The study in question is based on data that was collected after processing responses from users of the My Circle portal. We considered the salaries remaining “in the hands” of employees after taxes were deducted. In total, over 7000 questionnaires were processed during the research process.
