Four suitcases and one game: Sony puzzled bloggers before the release of Death Stranding

Ahead of release Death Stranding four selected people received each from Sony locked suitcase with combination lock. Bloggers are expected to work together to figure out the contents of cases.

The participants of the action themselves published photos with mysterious cases on their social networks:

• former IGN employee Alanah Pearce;
• actress Janina Gavankar, who also played the heroine Star Wars: Battlefront 2 Eden Versio;
• comedian and avid gamer Ronald Funches;
• video blogger Sean William McLoughlin, better known under the pseudonym Jacksepticeye.

Each suitcase came with a note containing part of the clue. As the organizers of the game explained in the accompanying letter, individually the clues mean practically nothing, but together they allow you to form an overall picture.

At the same time, PlayStation’s Instagram account posted image with a code common to all. The jumbled letters hide the words: flashback, strand, interknit, society, report and builder.

The color-coded letters spell out the phrase “Help us connect,” but the community doesn’t yet know what will come of it. The most active discussions on the issue are being conducted on the Reddit forum.

The theme of connections and community is one of the central ones in Death Stranding. The organizers of the event decided to reinforce the idea of ​​​​the importance of communication outside the game. And it looks like everything is going according to plan so far.

Death Stranding will be released on PS4 on November 8, and will reach PC in the summer of 2020. The console version in the Russian segment of the PlayStation Store will be available for play on November 8 at 00:00 Moscow time.
