The Rust programming language development team recently announced the creation of the Rust Commercial Network.
The project's goal is to create a centralized information platform for interaction between commercial organizations whose work depends on Rust code and the direct developers of the Rust programming language.
Relevant working groups are being created to discuss issues related to the relevant part of the programming language, propose ideas, and work with businesses to address real-world problems and all sorts of shortcomings in both the compiler and the rest of the programming language ecosystem.
And, of course, during the discussion, areas of work that require additional investment will be identified.
Membership is free for commercial companies, research institutes, and other organizations wishing to use Rust in their information systems. Membership of the Rust Foundation is not required.
Such IT industry giants as MS, Google, Amazon WS, JetBrains, Canonical, and OpenAI have already joined RCN.
