The Republic of Gamers (ROG) division of ASUS has introduced the Zephyrus S GX502 laptop, which can be used as a gaming system and a high-performance workstation.
The novelty received a 15,6-inch Full HD display (1920 × 1080 pixels) with a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz and a response time of 3 ms. Each item is factory calibrated using ASUS ProArt TruColor technology. PANTONE Validated certification guarantees high color fidelity and wide coverage of the sRGB color space.
The Intel Core i7-9750H processor is used, which contains six cores with multithreading support. The clock frequency varies from 2,6 GHz to 4,5 GHz. The amount of RAM DDR4-2666 reaches 32 GB.
The graphics component is an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 discrete accelerator with 8 GB of GDDR6 memory or a GeForce RTX 2060 with 6 GB of GDDR6 memory. Storage is provided by an M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD with a capacity of up to 1TB.
The computer boasts a highly efficient cooling system. Six heat pipes inside the case are laid out in such a way as to not only efficiently remove heat from the CPU and GPU, but also cool the components of the power system. At the same time, both the processor and the video card each have their own heatsink with heat dissipation on the sides of the case. The picture is completed by fans of a special design, equipped with an impeller with 83 thinnest blades.
The laptop carries on board wireless adapters Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac 2 × 2 Wave 2) and Bluetooth 5.0, a backlit keyboard, an audio system with two speakers and an intelligent amplifier.
The set of connectors includes USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C, USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-A (×2), USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-A, HDMI 2.0b, etc. Dimensions are 360 × 252 × 18,9 mm, weight is about 2 kg.
In Russia, the ROG Zephyrus S GX502 model will go on sale at the end of May 2019 at a price of 139 rubles.
