According to the Polish edition GRY Online and its English counterpart gamepressure, due to the announcement of a delay in the release of a cyberpunk action movie, CDP (not a division of CD Projekt RED) underwent massive layoffs.

According to the portal Computer Swiat, CDP did not know about the impending transfer, in connection with which they produced a lot of promotional materials (boxes, posters, gadgets), which suddenly became irrelevant.

Representatives of the publishing house commented on the situation in an interview PolskiGamedev: "The company is evaluating strategic options and will issue an official statement in the near future, but will not comment on the news for now."

At the same time, Polish accounts of CD Projekt RED in social networks have already assured users that all Cyberpunk 2077 pre-orders placed directly with CDP will be implemented.

Polish insider Borys Nieśpielak recently spoke about the reasons for the transfer of Cyberpunk 2077. The delay, he says, is due to lack of power on current generation consoles.

Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release on September 17th for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. As warned in CD Projekt RED itself, the multiplayer mode is unlikely to appear in the game before 2022.
