The company's official blog has information about the next release of the Oracle Solaris 11.4 SRU 13 distribution. It contains a number of fixes and improvements for the Oracle Solaris 11.4 branch.
So, some of the changes include:
- Enabling the Hotplug framework for hot-plugging SR-IOV PCIe devices. Added "evacuate-io" and "restore-io" commands to ldm to remove and replace devices;
- Oracle Explorer (a set of tools for building configuration and system state) has been updated to version 19.3.1;
- The sd_recv_uio handler has been added to the system, which allows you to increase UDP performance;
- When executing the "pkg update" command, boot environment names are automatically selected based on version numbers;
- For privileged users, it became possible to increase the accuracy of the timer for selected processes;
- Updated software versions (ImageMagick, wget, bzip2, nss, hex, Ghostscript, libxslt, etc.)
To install updates, just run the 'pkg update' command.
