Respawn donates Titanfall to Apex Legends

Respawn Entertainment is about to switch more resources to Apex Legends, even if it means delaying plans for future Titanfall games.

Respawn Entertainment Executive Producer Drew McCoy discussed some of the problems with Apex Legends in a blog post. Among them are bugs, cheaters and the lack of clear communication between developers and players during the early period after the launch of the project. But Apex Legends is very important to the studio. So much so that for the sake of this game she postpones Titanfall, but Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is completely protected. "In Respawn, the Titanfall and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order teams are separate, and no resources from the Apex team go to Star Wars, and no Star Wars resources go to Apex," McCoy added.

Respawn Entertainment is currently focused on fixing Apex Legends bugs and improving server performance. The studio also recognizes that players are looking forward to new content, but is of the opinion that slow, more meaningful updates are better for the team.

Major updates will arrive early next season. They will offer bug fixes and balance adjustments. Respawn Entertainment also announced that the second season will bring a new legend, weapons, and some changes to King's Canyon. More details on this can be expected at EA Play in June.

Apex Legends is available on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
