Ajit Varma, Mozilla's vice president of product for Firefox, announced a new browsing mode, "AI Window," which will offer a separate AI-powered interaction space, complementing the existing standard web navigation mode and private browsing mode. The AI Window functionality is still under development and is not available for testing. It is claimed that this mode will go beyond the sidebar chatbot already offered in Firefox and will allow for personalized interaction with an AI assistant and assistance while browsing. The mode will be opt-in and disabled by default. Google recently introduced a similar initiative for Chrome.
