The ad aired over the weekend during a 27-hour annual programming block hosted by comedian Beat Takeshi.

The video is a mini-drama that revolves around a contract worker who finds his wife's copy of Final Fantasy VII for PlayStation. He's never played the JRPG himself, but he's slowly learning why it means so much to so many people - including his partner, who was going through the project with her brother. The short ends with the main character deciding to buy a PlayStation 4 for Final Fantasy VII Remake.

The ad also features a funny scene where two nostalgic businessmen discuss the remake. One of them was upset that the new game will be an action game, but his colleague corrects his interlocutor, saying that the ATB (Active Time Battle) system is still in place. Let us remind you that in Final Fantasy VII Remake you will be able to fight with a new combat system that combines action and menus, but you will also be able to choose the classic ATB mode.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will be released on PlayStation 4 on March 3, 2020.
