LightDM 1.33.0 display manager has been released.

Developers Ubuntu published the release of the LightDM 1.33.0 display manager, which is used in Linux Mint, Lubuntu, Xubuntu и Ubuntu MATE. LightDM provides a background process for running display servers and GUI modules for login, as well as for user authentication via PAM and remote desktop connections. The project is independent of specific desktop environments and protocols (X11, Wayland) and is noted for its low memory footprint. The code is written in C and distributed under the GPL license.

This new version of the liblightdm-qt library, designed for developing graphical login screens, adds Qt6 support. Qt5 support remains an option. Bug fixes accumulated over the past four years have been included, along with performance optimizations.
