Qucs-S is a program for simulating analog electronic circuits, written in C++ and distributed under GPL 2. The simulation engine can be either Ngspice for general-purpose circuits or QucsatorRF (supplied with Qucs-S) for microwave devices.
On February 20th of this year, the next release 25.1.0 was presented.
The release contains the following new features:
- The component library has been significantly expanded. Including libraries with models of digital IMS series 74HC, 74LV, CD4000 for analog mode (Ngspice). In addition to them, additional libraries with analog IMS, some discrete semiconductor components and vacuum tubes have been added.
- Improved support for SPICE models and libraries.
- Improved support for XSPICE digital components.
- The dialog boxes for component properties and equation assignment have been redesigned.
- Support for building with Qt5 has been discontinued. Only Qt6 is now supported.
- Bugs fixed.
- QucsatorRF updated to v1.0.4; fixed bug related to file converter.
