AMD has stopped releasing driver updates for , which are equipped with Radeon RX Vega M graphics cores. This happened a few months after Intel shifted the responsibility for releasing updates to AMD. When trying to update processor drivers, users of some devices see a message that the hardware configuration is not supported.

At least this news is relevant for owners of a powerful Hades Canyon NUC mini-computer. The authors of Tom's Hardware tried to install the AMD WDDM 2.7 (20.5.1) and WHQL (20.4.2) drivers for the Vega M GH/GL graphics system integrated with the Kaby Lake-G processor, but failed. Judging by the inscription in the driver installer window, the update is simply incompatible with the Intel Kaby Lake-G processor family.
Authors Tom's Hardware to Intel technical support and found out that the company is already working on returning support for the Radeon graphics driver to the Intel NUC 8 Extreme Mini.
